What's New: September 21–27
This week was about making Uniwex Task calmer to use every day: it now keeps the latest data available when the internet disappears, adapts better to smaller screens, and remembers your session after a browser restart. We brought sorting and filtering into one place, added new ways to focus, and made the calendar more actionable — from scheduling a task by dragging it to reviewing the day when work is done. We also removed Rituals to rebuild that area later around a clearer workflow.
New features
5Added read-only offline access
The app can now show previously loaded tasks, calendars, and notes even when the internet disappears. Offline mode is read-only, so your working context stays available without creating the illusion that changes were saved.
Added automatic sidebar collapse for compact screens
On smaller screens, the sidebar now collapses automatically to make more room for your tasks. A helpful tooltip explains why it happened and how to restore the full view.
Added Focus, Pomodoro, and Countdown modes
The timer now offers three ways to work: focus on a specific task, use the classic Pomodoro cycle, or run a standalone countdown. Focused tasks show planned and spent time, and the session can be paused, completed, or restarted with another task.
Added calendar scheduling previews
Empty space in the calendar sidebar now hints that you can create a task or event there. When you start dragging a Kanban card, the preview appears immediately and invites you to schedule it in an available time slot.
Added an end-of-day review
The new review brings together your working hours, completed tasks, spent and planned time, breaks, and a comparison with the previous days. You can round tracked time in the overview, and the completed-day state stays in place until the date ends.
Improvements
3Kept sessions across browser restarts
Your session no longer disappears after restarting the computer or browser. Uniwex Task keeps you signed in while the session cookie and its lifetime remain valid.
Unified sorting and filtering controls
Sorting and filters on Today and Projects are now grouped behind one clear control. The menu also includes estimated and spent time, while the selected sorting stays in place across reloads and List, Table, and Kanban views.
Removed the Rituals section
The Rituals section is temporarily removed from navigation and available routes. We plan to bring it back later with a clearer workflow instead of continuing to maintain the old experience.
Fixes
1Fixed collapsed Kanban columns
A collapsed Kanban column now shrinks to a narrow strip instead of keeping its old empty width. The workspace uses the freed-up space and remains easier to scan.
